The Deniliquin Veterinary Clinic is a modern, purpose-built Veterinary Hospital situated smack-bang in the middle of Deniliquin at 389 Poictiers Street.

DVC became the founding entity of the Southern Riverina Veterinary Group in 1980 when it was purchased by David Petersen and Andrew Johnstone from the long-time incumbent Vet, Patrick Fenaughty. The Clinic was situated on the North side of Deniliquin on the Hay Road and was home to Pat and an Assistant; one notable one being the late Frank Daly. It was pretty basic. It had a steady flow of Receptionists and catered mainly for the District’s sheep and beef cattle clients with a smattering of small animal patients.

DVC had a sister Clinic in Finley, run by the inimitable Harry Suddes. This Clinic too soon became available for purchase and in 1982 became part of SRV, run principally by David Petersen.

A succession of assistant Vets flowed through Deniliquin, many on their way to a higher calling.  Roger Carmody joined SRV at Deniliquin in 1990 bringing Riverina Genetics into the mix. The co-operation between both Clinics and Riverina Genetics saw the SRV Group prosper and grow. Echuca Vet Clinic was purchased in 2004 and then Kate Howison joined as a Partner based in Deniliquin in 2006.

DVC morphed from its initial basic form on the Hay Road to the present Clinic at 389 Poictiers Street in 2000. The Clinic then underwent significant renovations in 2011. It is now comprised of an architect designed layout, that flows from a large reception area to 2 consult rooms, preparation area, pharmacy, a modern, well equipped surgery, a dedicated X-ray and Ultra-sound room, inside kennels and outside dog runs and a  Staff office and amenities room and Partners office.

We incorporate into this purpose-built facility a variety of modern Veterinary equipment and computer systems to optimise the treatment of your animals and the service to our Clients.

At DVC we have a number of highly skilled and dedicated Professionals and Staff who are committed to providing the optimal healthcare to your animals. We pride ourselves on the standard of our facilities and service. At DVC we DO Care.
